    Hi.

I’m currently trying to set-up a free version of Pinpoint Booking System WordPress plugin and have an incorrect displaying of Russian characters after editing Reservation info.
It can be reproduced following this order of actions:
    1. Please specify Russian characters as a label of Form fields (for example use ‘Имя’ as ‘Name’ filed label).
    2. Add any reservation from the front-end.
    3. Try to edit and save the contact information in the WordPress Dashboard:
Reservation => Edit contact info => Save
    4. Reload the page and you’ll get ‘u0418u043cu044f’ name label value instead of the ‘Имя’. Seems, that you’re using Unicode encoding, but decoding is not working correctly.
As you can see, Cyrillic symbols were replaced with Unicode symbols combination in the contact info.

Unfortunately, I’m not able to test a Pro version, but I’m sure, that this issue exists there too.

Plugin version I’m currently using: 2.8.8 Free

Will be much appreciated if you help me to fix this issue.

    Best regards,
    Oleksandr

BTW, I’m ready to help you with plugin translation into Russian. Will it be possible to include this translation into the next plugin build?
Are you interested in? If yes, please provide me with step-by-step guide.

    Best regards,
    Oleksandr

    Hello Oleksandr,

We are aware about this issue regarding characters encoding/decoding when editing reservations info and will be fixed in one of our future versions of Pinpoint.

Regarding the Russian translation, due to the multiple possibilities of translations (depending on users business) we decided to offer only English language as default and let the users customize their booking system by their own judgement.

Anyway, we thank you for this and we hope you will further enjoy Pinpoint Booking System.

Thank you for support. Will wait for the fixed version of your plugin. Its functionality is awesome even in free version.

I’m currently using it on a localhost and will be much appreciated if you provide a step-by-step guide for correct transfering Russian translation into the live site.
I’ll need to export wp_dopbsp_translation_ru table from the localhost, clear the same table on the live site and then import the translated one. Am I right?

    Best regards,
    Oleksandr

    Hello,

Indeed, you have to export the _dopbsp_translation_ru table from your local server and import it in your live database. If in your live database there is a different prefix then ‘wp’ you will have to change it.

    Thank you!
