Translation incomplete

Since the last update the translation is incomplete or only partially!

I have the same problem. For example, the email sent to the admin when a new subscriber is added was previously in German and suddenly it’s English – without any changes to the settings.
The Mailpoet settings are also suddenly in English instead of German.Yes, for example, on the confirmation page the headline is in English and the text is in German. Such a real mix.
Hi there,
Just to clarify first, if you are testing with a logged in user, the content of the auto-generated MailPoet pages (Confirmation, Manage Subscriptions, Unsubscribe, etc) will reflect the language of the logged-in user profile.
For example, if my site is set to English, but my own user profile is set to Japanese, then when I load the Manage Subscriptions page or Confirmation page, the content of the page will be displayed in Japanese. If you have created a custom page though, then the page title will always be whatever you have set the title as, regardless of language (only the content will change).
Second, please note that MailPoet does not directly support multilingual plugins, so if you were expecting languages to display based on functionality from a multilingual plugin that would not work: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/203-support-for-multilingual-plugins
Aside from that, if you are still seeing unexpected translations taking the above into account, please let us know:
- Site language
- Are you logged into a user account? If so, what is the account profile language?
- Some specific text strings that you are not seeing translated.
Thank you.
Both website language and user language are set to German, or no changes have been made.
However, the problem has disappeared as if by magic???
Subscriber list trash could not be emptied. So I emptied via PHP-MyAdmin.
That was the only change. But I didn’t notice if the translation worked again immediately afterwards or can’t confirm whether that’s related.
Hi there @orlovop,
Thank you for the update and glad to hear that it has magically disappeared! Of course, that makes it a bit trickier to figure out what might have caused it.
Since both cases reported here were related to German language translations, I’m wondering if there may have been changes to some strings in the German translation files, and after the plugin updated the translations hadn’t been downloaded yet so you were seeing the default English strings instead.
Just to confirm, the issues appears to be resolved now, correct?
Yes, somehow something like that happened.
Complete MailPoet backend was in english and a few selectable options in German. The original generated pages were mixed e.g. title English and text German. The standard emails (admin info) were completely in English.
In any case, it fits at the moment, you can put it as done from me.
Thank you very much
