    Hi @updownbikes,

Thank you for getting in touch we do appreciate your time.

Although the plugin does include various supported languages, in some cases, some languages may not be fully translated. All of our translations are community-driven, meaning we do rely on users to submit their translations to us on our website.

We then include the updated translations to the plugin in an update to ensure everyone benefits from the changes to the relevant language.

With that said, you can add your own translations to the plugin directly by two primary methods:
    – Downloading the relevant PO file via FTP (or alternative file manager), and editing files with a tool like POEdit. Once updated you can reupload the translations for the changes to take effect
    – A simpler option for some users is to use a free plugin like Loco Translate. This allows you to edit the translations for our plugin without downloading any of our core files.

I hope this helps? If you do need any help with this, please feel free to get in touch with us via our website and one of our support agents would be more than happy to help!

many thanks for your prompt reply and assistance. I tried to modify the Italian PO file but it seems it does only permit to modify back office translations and what I asked for is a front office sentence. In fact it was not possible to identify that translation inside Italian PO file. if it’s possible to know inside which file it’s included we can modify it accordingly. thanks again. best regards

    Hi @updownbikes,

Thank you for the feedback, I do appreciate it.

Yes, my apologies, after taking a look at the PO file myself I noticed there are some strings which are not included in the PO files for an unknown reason.

We suspect this may be due to a configuration issue with the tools we use when scanning the plugin for translatable strings. More specifically, with the latest versions, all components are modular (stored in their own files) and we believe the PO file scanning may not have reached some of the nested files.

I have already added this to our development schedule and it will be resolved in our next update, meaning all the translatable strings will be updated to include the new strings as well.

With that said, in the meantime, the placeholder text can be found in:
    – plugins/wp-google-maps/html/atlas-novus/store-locator.html.php

Alternatively, you are welcome to reach out to us via our website (open a support ticket) and I will personally email you an update PO file if this is preferred.

Once again, I do apologize for the trouble and confusion this has caused. This was not an issue we were aware of, but it’s high on my priority list.

I appreciated your support and I already modified the php file accordingly. Now it works perfectly. In this way I avoided to disturb you in preparing a new PO file for me. So no problem. With the next update we’d hope this tranlation will be included and so everything will work fine, otherwise we’ll modify again the php file. thanks again.

    Hi @updownbikes,

Fantastic, so glad to hear you were able to get the text changed as needed.

Yes, just to confirm, your suggested translation will be included in the next update as well to improve the plugin for other users in the future.

Thank you once again for your time!
