    Hi

I’m trying to translate your plug in with Poedit but with lo luck…

I uploaded the files to the languages folder in the plugin dir but dont work.

Im using TranslatePress – Multilingual and that is causing the issue!
But i have my theme and other plugins translated with .mo files with no problem

    Is there some workaround?

Your plugin doesn’t use the get_locale() function to determinate the lang ?

    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi there,
hope you are doing well! 🙂

    (Sorry for the late reply)

Yes, you can translate the plugin like another plugin, but instead of upload the language file directly in the plugin, to avoid losing the translation on every update, you should upload them in the WordPress installation, in the path “/wp-content/languages/plugins”.

Note that you have to upload the .po and .mo files, and add the correct language extension.

Could you check it and let us know, please?

    Have a nice day!

    Hello,
I do not have TranslatePress plugin installed, but I am facing issues getting my french translation applied using POEDIT (I used this software already in the past without problems).

    Here my steps:
    1) I created new translation files for FRENCH with POEDIT
    2) I correctly named them :
    yith-woocommerce-gift-cards-fr_FR.po
    yith-woocommerce-gift-cards-fr_FR.mo
    3) I saved there via FTP on my hosting server under :
    …/wp-content/languages
    …/wp-content/plugins/yith-woocommerce-gift-cards/languages

    But it’s not working.
Thanks in advance for your help !

You should place them in the following path in your WordPress installation:
    /wp-content/languages/plugins

Please, try it and let us know.
