# Translating WP-Forums

 * Im trying to translate it to portuguese. To this I need special characters but
   all I have is a weird ‘?’ instead of them. Tried 4 encodings in the file and 
   it just don’t work.
    How to do that?

    How?
 * If you are talking about translating WP – the utf-8 encoding (which is default)
   should work with every language!

 * The problem is with your software. Make sure when you edit a template file or
   any other file – you save them with encoding utf-8, not western or anything else!

 * I am not familiar with that editor – but most editors I have seen so far, have
   a setting to define the encoding. Even Notepad…
