Hello there @jonas_op ,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with translating MailPoet. We understand the importance of having the plugin operate in your preferred language, and we’re here to help ensure you can use MailPoet to its fullest potential.
Regarding the issue you’ve encountered with Poedit, it’s possible that MailPoet may not be fully compatible with the changes made through this tool, which could explain the challenges you’re facing with the translation not reflecting on your site.
However, there’s an alternative solution that might be perfect for you. MailPoet offers a more straightforward way to implement translations through .mo files that are available for various languages. These can be directly downloaded from Transifex, a platform we use to manage our translation projects. Once you’ve downloaded the necessary .mo file for your language, you can upload it to your website following the steps outlined in our knowledge base article here: Translations in the Plugin.
To find the translation for your specific language:
- Visit the Transifex project for MailPoet here.
- Select your language and download the .mo file associated with it.
- Upload this file to your website in the appropriate directory, as mentioned in the provided guide.
This method should ensure that your translation applies correctly and without the complications you’ve encountered using Poedit.
We hope this resolves your issue and makes managing your site’s language settings easier. However, if you face any trouble or have further questions, please feel free to reach out. Our team is more than happy to assist you further.
Cheers!
I joined transifex and have tried to join the MailPoet project 5 days and 12 hours ago… But my request is still pending
This is really not helpful, why is it this hard? Why not just a file to download from your page?

Hello again @jonas_op ,
Thank you for getting back to us.
I’ve been able to review and accept your request on Transifex. Those requests are reviewed periodically and I apologize it’s taken a long while for yours to get approved.
You can now access our Transifex page: https://www.transifex.com/wysija/mp3/ and download the mo you need:
Here’s a quick guide showing you how: https://d.pr/v/LolbUN
I hope this helps.
Cheers.
Thank’s, still it’s 14 days to get a translated file. Why are you not just posting the translated files on your web?
