 * Hello,
 * I have installed the plugin and set it to French in the settings, cleared the
   transient cache but the weekdays (and the rest) keep being shown in English.
   I verified I have the file /wp-content/languages/plugins/wp-store-locator-fr_FR.
   po and I have also downloaded the file from the language repository and placed
   it under /wp-content/plugins/wp-store-locator/languages/wpsl-fr_FR.po
 * What am I doing wrong, please?
 * Regards

 * Try to rename /wp-content/languages/plugins/wp-store-locator-fr_FR.po to /wp-
   content/languages/plugins/wpsl-fr-FR-po
 * Does that fix it?

 * I guess you mean wpsl-fr_FR.po (underscore). No, it did not fix it.

 * The site language itself is set to French, right? Are you using a multilingual
   plugin?

 * The site language is set to French and that’s the only language; there’s no multilingual
   plugin. To my understanding it should just use the current language file without
   any further intervention, am I right?

 * Well, you need to open the current language file and translate the words you
   want to have translated. How to do this is explained [here](https://wpstorelocator.co/document/translations/).

 * I already did that before. However, I only copied the .po file. I tried adding
   the .mo file and now it works. I guess I wasn’t aware of that.
    Solved, thanks
