Translating variable products, stuck in the “saving” animation

    Hi! We have an English+Arabic site. Whenever we try to add a translation of a variable product and save it, it gets stuck in the “saving” animation and never gets to an “item saved” notification. Woocommerce then logs this error message:

    CRITICAL Uncaught Error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /home/iod8cqjqeysh/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-multilingual/inc/class-wcml-attributes.php:223

    It’s fine when adding a translation for a simple product. We have tried disabling all other plugins except WPML and WooCommerce Multilingual. The problem persists.

    When we try to upgrade to the latest version of WooCommerce Multilingual, we get a HTTP 500 error and are forced to restore.

    Any thoughts?

    Wordpress: 4.8
    Woocommerce: 3.3.3
    Woocommerce Multilingual: 4.0.3
    WPML: 3.6.2

    Hello
    You should update WPML to the latest version – 4.0.5 when updating WooCommerce Multilingual.
    It is possible that this will resolve your other problems too.
