    Hi,

I am using Loco Translate and unfortunately their support could not help me with this.
I am using the plugin to translate Woocommerce notification emails and basically what I want is to translate custom strings added to the email templates, however I need to overwrite the email templates and that means that these files will be located under the child theme folder. That being said I am not sure what to put on the PO files references.
Here’s an example of a string reference:
    #: templates/emails/customer-on-hold-order.php:51
My question is: how do I reference to the email template file being overridden so that these strings appears under the loco translate plugin so I can translate them

    Thank you

    Hi there,

If I’m capturing this correctly, you’ll need to use the child theme domain in the custom WC templates so that you can translate theme via loco translate. No need to edit the PO file itself, Loco translate should do it for you.

Could you please clarify what you mean? Because I have tried everything and wasn’t able to work it out. The strings never appear on the Loco Translate plugin.

    Thank you for your time!

Let’s say you’re using a custom template to override the WooCommerce default file. This file is located within your theme folder, in the woocommerce folder, right? Then, any strings within file having this path need to have the child theme domain for internationalization functions.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
