The mentioned website is in German (Default Language) and French. When I switch via switcher from German to French, everything works fine. But when I want to switch back, it doubles the domain address in the browser address field, resulting in an Error 404. Example:
I think it may have to do with the fact that your WordPress Address URL and Site Address URL use http protocol instead of https. Please try to edit them and see if that will help.
If I set the Permalink structure to “Einfach” (German, guess means something like “base”), then I get a TranslatePress message in the settings: “You are not using a permalink structure! Please enable one or install our “Language by GET parameter” addon, so that TranslatePress can function properly.” and can’t even switch from DE to FR. The mentioned addon is not visible on the Addon site.
If I set “Tag und Name” (Day, name), so I get the same behaviour as described above.
Also installing and activating the Twenty Twenty-One Theme doesn’t change anything, I’m really afraid…
Any further ideas how to solve this issue? Thx for your effort in advance and best regards
Klaus

I believe the issue is possibly related to your server configuration or something similar, not our plugin. It’s possible that there could be some unfavorable redirect rules set on your server-side by your hosting provider which is causing these issues.
I would suggest reaching out to your hosting provider regarding this matter to seek possible solutions.
If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
