We have installed TranslatePress and the query string extensions.

Here is what we are trying to accomplish.

When a user changes languages, instead of switching the URL by adding “/ES/” to the page location, we want the URL to stay the same on the secondary language.

The reason is, we have plugins that rely on the URL of the page and changing the URL breaks those plugins.

Right now, switching the other plugins to something different or updating the plugin is not an option. I wish it was…

Is there a way to force the language change by always adding the get query string parameters? We are using the GET parameters to make the switch in the first place.

My guess is this is not possible by default but maybe with some modifications if you could point me in the right direction to the proper function to look at?

I also opened a support ticket but wanted to follow-up here.

    Thanks for your help.

I was able to replicate this locally and it will be fixed in a future update of the plugin, probably next week. It’s a bug that’s adding the /en when it should add the get parameter.
