Translate the subscription form

    Hi,

    (sorry for my bad english)

    I need to translate the subscription form in french, I’ve opened the subscribe2.pot with Poedit, I’ve translated the terms and re-upload the POT file in the /wp-content/plugins/subscribe2 folder, it doesn’t work.

    I’ve put the heading (in POT file) to say that the translation is in french, everything seems ok but it doesn’t work, can you help me ?

    No apology needed, your English is better than my French!

    Once you have added the translation in the POT template file you need to use POEdit to create an *.mo file and with your language code in the file name.

    So, the template files is called ‘subscribe2.pot’.
    From this add your translation strings and call the file ‘subscribe2-fr_FR.po’.
    Then use POEdit to make a machine readable file called ‘subscribe2-fr_FR.mo’ and upload that file to the server.

    Thank you very much mattyrob ! The suggested files works very well ! Only one thing: “email” in french is “courriel”, even if we use the word “email” very often when we talk. 😉 So I’ve changed it in the PO file I’ve downloaded, save it and tadam ! Works like a charm ! 🙂

    As a complement of information, I’d like to say that the PO and MO files need to be placed in the plugin folder (wp-content/plugins/subscribe2).
