Hi, is there any way to have translated mobile toggle block text on multilingual site? The method described in the documentation is using deprecated “WMPL shortcode” plugin. Also that text can not be found by scanning strings using WMPL string translator. Please advise on any workaround. Thank you in advance.

  • Hi!

I do my translations on WPML going to DASHBOARD -> WPML -> STRING TRANSLATIONS

There you have to search for the string you want to translate.
See the results and go to translate. its on the right side there…
    Thats all.

Karl, thank you for the replay. I do the same DASHBOARD -> WPML -> STRING TRANSLATIONS. But toggle block text that in particular is “MENU” is not showing up in string translator megamenu domain that has 464 strings after scanning it. Also if it would be there it would be automatically translated as there are other domain transactions with the same word “MENU”. I did found following workaround that is not working any more: https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/wpml-setup/
    Any more suggestions please?

We have here for each language own menus for header and footer in 3 languages.
All have been created in WordPress.
Maybe it depends in your them you use.
Our theme is ready for WPML and MaxMegaMenu.

Yes, I have no issues using MaxMegaMenu and WMPL in terms of menu translation sync. WMPL does a good job by giving WP Menu Sync option. Theme I`m using came with MaxMegaMenu ready. But I found when adding “Toggle block” in “Mobile Menu” that toggle text is not being translated in any way. “WMPL shortcode” plugin sounds like a good idea to add translation but it is deprecated.

Mine came too with MMM and it works well till i need to optimize for speed.
But this seems to be an AJAX-Problem by the used theme that has additional functions.
Seems i need to go to rebuild the whole site here with another theme next time.

we never used toggel block, whatever this means in german.

Sorry, so i am off from this.
Hope you will find needed help.

Thank you for the response Tom. That link and deprecated plugin “WPML Shortcodes” I have mentioned in my all previous responses. It doesn’t work anymore.

    Hi Giedrius,

It is still working for me OK here. Please can you paste here (within code tags) the shortcode you’re trying to use?

Dear Tom, I was able to get it working with the directions on documentation page you provided. Yes, it still works! Not sure what went wrong at the first time but after clearing cache and purging minification files I got it working on different language. Awesome plugin and awesome support.
    Thank you,
    Giedrius
