    Hi!

If Stripe responds with an “card_declined” code, it shows to the user “Your card was declined”, as on: http://screencast.com/t/2ehhsQ9g1P5F

I wish to change (or translate) this message and explain the client what to do and HOW to solve it. “Your card was declined” is rather vague and a lot of clients get stuck don’t know what to do next.

Can you tell me how to do this?

Looking forward to your reply. Thanks!

    Best regards

    Hi!

These error messages are returned directly from Stripe, which unfortunately cannot be translated. Stripe has apparently been working on internationalizing their checkout files, but I have not seen anything new from their end in some time. At this point it’s a known deficiency with the way their error messages are returned.

I solved it by making use of the premium Yith Stripe plugin. They support translation and customizing of all Stripe errors.
