  • Hey,

How can i translate message i get when i successfully add review. For example: ‘Your review has been recorded and submitted for approval. Thanks!’. I checked all the files and i can’t find the english version there so i could change it for my own language by myself. I found bunch of other messages in english but can’t find these. Also can’t find messages used when validating form (for ex when i leave name field empty).

    I would appreciate any help!
    Cheers

    tadamczak,

The message in response to a successfully added review is all in /shortcodes/rr-form.php between lines 282 and 290. The error messages are handled differently, because we changed them to populate dynamically in order to allow for the addition of custom fields. I did however, build a work around. The errors are output in the same file listed above, however in a function called generate_error_text between lines 156 and 174. There is standard text to output the different types of errors, and this is editable, however the fields names are output by the english reference in the ids of the html markup of the form, and hence not editable. In the workaround I developed the field names will be populated by the label option set for each field in the Rich Reviews Options page. With this if you have modified and translated the field names in the options menu, then you can simply translate the text output in this function and the error messages will be fully translated. If you’d like I can walk you through this implementation, or I can do it for you.

    Let me know your thoughts,
    Thanks
