Translate plugin text strings

    Hi. I’m unclear how to translate text strings in the plugin like “search results for”.

    I found the pot file — breadcrumb-navxt.pot — and used it in Poedit to create my own po/mo files (breadcrumb-navxt-fr_FR.po and breadcrumb-navxt-fr_FR.mo).

    Placing these files in plugins/breadcrumb-navxt/languages/ (with the .pot file) did not work. I’m also using Polylang, and tried putting these po/mo files in wp-content/languages/plugins/, but that also didn’t work.

    Any help appreciated.

    That specific string is part of the settings, if you are on a single language site, you just need to change the Breadcrumb templates that contain that string in the Breadcrumb NavXT settings page.

    If you have a multilingual site (e.g. relying on WPML or Polylang), you will need an extension plugin to support multiple language translation of the Breadcrumb NavXT settings. Look for the Breadcrumb NavXT Polylang Extensions plugin if you use Polylang, and look for the Breadcrumb NavXT WPML Extensions plugin if you use WPML.
