Support » Theme: News Portal » Translate “leave a comment”-badge below post title

  • Hi,

    I use your theme to build a German news site. I have the problem that the badge “leave a comment” below the post title is not translated into German. Can you say to me how to translate it to German? Also, the same problem exists with the badge “tagged” at the end of each post, which is followed by all the tags of each post.

    Some additional questions, which are not as important as the above one, but for which it would be helpful to receive an answer as well:

    1) Is it possible to delete the reference to Mystery Themes at the bottom of each page or do I need to buy the theme in order to delete it?

    2) Is it possible to delete the forwarding/redirection to the former or later post below each post?

    3) Is it possible to add a widget for recent post at the end of each post automatically (between the end of the post and the comment section).

    4) Is it possible to change the structure of the post page so that the title is above the post picture, and the category badges above the post title? Currently, the picture comes first, followed by the title. I would prefer the following order:

    Post badges
    Post title
    Author and Date
    Post Picture
    Text of the article

    Thank you very much and very nice theme!

    Hello @hardseltzerinsider

    1) Is it possible to delete the reference to Mystery Themes at the bottom of each page or do I need to buy the theme in order to delete it?
    >> We recommend you to provide credit to the author if you are using a free theme. If you want to change the text then this feature was available in the pro version.

    2) Is it possible to delete the forwarding/redirection to the former or latter post below each post?
    >> Please add the following code in additional CSS box in customizer:

    .navigation.post-navigation {
    	display: none;
    }

    3) Is it possible to add a widget for recent post at the end of each post automatically (between the end of the post and the comment section).
    4) Is it possible to change the structure of the post page so that the title is above the post picture, and the category badges above the post title? Currently, the picture comes first, followed by the title.
    >> You need to customize the template to add this feature via theme. If you have the knowledge you can edit the theme according to your requirements or contact us for customization via our website contact page 🙂

    Thanks 🙂

    Hi @mysterythemes,

    thanks a lot. The code worked. Can you also help me with the badge “leave a comment” below the post title – how can I translate it into German? I searched for a solution on the internet but did not find anything. I use a child theme, so I can safely change the code of the theme.

    Hello @hardseltzerinsider

    If your site was run in a single language (means your local language) then you can use the loco translate plugin to manage the translations string.

    Thanks,

    I already tried it with loco but nothing changed.

    Hi @mysterythemes,

    I almost finished programming the news site and I have just one new problem. Since today, for some unknown reason, the carousel widget does not fully display the title and category badgets of the posts. Here is a file that you can download, which contains on page 1 a picture of the wrong carousel widget. On page 2, you see the “leave a comment”-badget that is not translated into German. I tried it today with loco again but was not successful. Maybe you know another solution.

    Hello @hardseltzerinsider

    About the carousel section please use a 400 x 575 size of the image. Hope it helps to fix the issue.

    About leave a comment translation we have tested successfully using loco translate. Please find the screenshot. http://prntscr.com/ut656t

    Thanks,

    Thanks, I solved both problems. I translated the child theme before – that was why loco did not work.

    Ok, some additional questions surfaced.

    1) The problem with the carousel widget appeared again (see page 1 of the PDF). I changed the size of the image to 400×575. I changed the following part of the code that can be found in the document functions (I copied the changed version into the functions document of my child theme).

    add_image_size( 'news-portal-carousel-portrait', 400, 575, true );

    2) How can I change the date at the topbar so that it reads: “Dienstag, 6. Oktober 2020”? The options that can be found in the customizer are of no help. (see page 2 of the PDF)

    3) Is it possible to change the size of the logo, e.g. to 400×60?

    4) I changed the font size to 16 so that the writing on the posts and pages is larger. However, now the font size of the mainpage also changed. How can I only change the font size of the pages and posts? (see oage 3 of the PDF for an example of a large font size on the first page/homepage).
    I added the following code to the document style.css of my child theme to change the font size:

     p {
      font-size: 16px;
    }

    5) On one page, I added html-code for a mailchimp registration page for my newsletter. The problem is that my footer on that page also changed. The text is now centered, as you can see on page 4 of the PDF, and does not start on the left. Maybe you know a solution. The problem is perhaps a part of the html code that says that the text afterwards must be centered.

    Hello @hardseltzerinsider

    1) About the cropped image, it always cropped define size from the middle of the image. So that kind of image issue has been occurring. Suggestion for this to use a proper portrait image.

    2) You can edit the date format from inc/hooks/np-header-hooks.php file.

    3) Yes you can change the logo size but you can edit it from the functions.php file.

    4) For this you can use this custom css.

    .single-post p,
    .page p {
    	font-size: 16px;
    }

    5) For the MailChimp Registration page, we can’t help you without the site url. If we can access your target url then we are able to find out the actual issue on your website.

    Thanks,

    Thank you!
