# Transferring RSS subscribers from wordpress.com

 * Apologies if this has been covered already, but I haven’t yet found anything 
   helpful.
 * I’m migrating my wordpress.com site to wordpress.org Thesis 1.8 site. I’d like
   to make the transition as seamless as possible for my readers by not requiring
   them to update their RSS subscription. Is there an easy way to make my new blog
   channel into my old wordpress.com feed?
 * As you can guess I’m pretty new at this so please speak slowly and use hand puppets
   if the solution requires any sort of technical knowledge.

 * Once you have changed the DNS of your domain name at WordPress to point to your
   host the rss feed should work the same

 * Does it matter that I’m not using WordPress for hosting? I’m using Dreamhost.

   nothing shows up in my rss subscription for [http://www.freedomtwentyfive.wordpress.com](http://www.freedomtwentyfive.wordpress.com)

   domain.wordpress.com ?

 * And I’m exporting the blog and moving to:

 * But when I made a test post on the latter, it didn’t show up on the former’s 
   RSS feed. Is there a way to keep my subscribers?
