 * Hello,
 * I just installed WordPress on my server but am having trouble moving everything
   over from WordPress.com
 * I figured out how to upload the template, import the .xml file and recreate some
   of the Widgets but the layout isn’t exactly right and I do not know how to fix
   it. Sidebar 2 approve way at the bottom right under the blog posts.
 * I am moving from [http://shoppinggems.wordpress.com](http://shoppinggems.wordpress.com)
   to [http://www.shopping-gems.com](http://www.shopping-gems.com)
 * I don’t see a Widget for Authors.
 * I don’t see a Widget for Meta: Authors Login but that Widget does appear on the
   screen.
 * I can’t figure out how to upload my Custom Header.
 * Please help me or point me in the right direction to look under help to figure
   it all out.
 * Thank you!
 * Wendy

 * Many of the things on WordPress.com are done using plugins or other sorts of
   things like them. You’ll need to find plugins and edit your theme and such to
   make the new site similar to your old one.
 * Creating your own website is more work than just writing a blog.

 * Yes, I see that now 🙂
 * Thanks. I can’t figure out how to move that right sidebar up. I don’t know much
   about the code that makes a blog work although I am pretty preficient at HTML.

 * Is there a place I can go to learn where to upload my Customer Header?

 * I don’t see any problem with your right sidebar in either FF3 or IE7.
 * However, a dropping sidebar is a common problem:

 * You need to understand how to edit your theme as well:

 * Thank you. I figured out how to change my header. I had to recreate it in Photoshop
   first but I got that part now.
 * On my screen my sidebar, on the homepage only, appears at the bottom under the
   posts. On all of the other pages it appears correctly on the right side of the
   posts.

 * I found how to fix the sidebar from dropping.
