  • Greetings,
I’m just curious about a couple of things. I currently have a Tumblr blog. How difficult is it to transfer knowledge from there to here? On Tumblr one can only have other Tumbler users “like” or “follow” their blog, is it the same here is that option open to anyone? Just trying to see where my maximum potential for social media exposure is…if this has already been addressed please direct me to the link/topic if at all possible. Thanks for any help you can provide. 🙂

There is an importer available for Tumblr, so that’s relatively easy.

The are a number of plugins which provide Like and Follow functionality. In particular, Jetpack http://jetpack.me/ provides both (and more).

Thanks kindly, that helps. Is the Jetpack feature also functional for Tumblr and other blog sites or distinctly for WordPress? One would think (although I realize this is a stretch) that this feature should be commonplace for any large blog site…

No, Jetpack only works on WordPress blogs.
