Your domain is currently registered with 1&1, but its nameservers are directing to WordPress.com. You’ll have to consult 1&1’s documentation for both your hosting account’s nameservers and how to change your domain’s nameserver to those, and/or contact their support for specifics.

Due to the way WordPress.com Likes are stored, those cannot be transferred.

The Share counts at WordPress.com are reported by the social networks’ APIs. The Jetpack plugin, and various other sharing button plugins, will continue to use those same APIs. As long as the URLs of the posts don’t change, the numbers should continue.

Assuming you’re using the Jetpack plugin for followers, you’ll transfer your followers following this guide: http://jetpack.me/support/subscription-migration-tool/

Assuming you’re using the Jetpack plugin for stats, you’ll need to contact the Jetpack folks to get those transferred: http://jetpack.me/contact-support/

Thanks for the quick response. The Jetpack plugin brings up a 404 page whenever I try to access the admin dashboard and site. I’ve checked my memory which is at 62GB which I would imagine would be plenty.

    Are there any other options?

That’s odd, what do you get at http://s609714725.onlinehome.us/wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack ?

If that’s a 404, make sure that Jetpack is installed and active in your Dashboard’s Plugins section.

I got this fixed. I just upped my GB by a couple hundred and it worked. I have now mapped my subscribers over.

Now I need to switch the domain. I have to un-map this on wordpress.com first right? Then redirect the servers after an hour or so? And then wait a few hours/days to have it all mapped to the new site?

And in that time, how can I have my followers reach my blog at my wordpress? Is there a way to redirect back to http://keepitsimple.wordpress.com?

Start by changing the domain’s name servers to your hosting account. You’ll have to consult 1&1’s documentation for both your hosting account’s nameservers and how to change your domain’s nameserver to those, and/or contact their support for specifics.

When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, your domain may go to its old location, and you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors.”

If you still have trouble viewing the site after 48 hours have passed, please try clearing your browser’s cache.

If that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache: https://support.opendns.com/entries/26336865-Clearing-the-DNS-Cache-on-Computers-Servers-and-Web-Browsers

Then, you can either cancel the domain mapping at WordPress.com, or just disable the auto-renew there.

And in that time, how can I have my followers reach my blog at my WordPress? Is there a way to redirect back to http://keepitsimple.wordpress.com?

Assuming you’re using the Jetpack plugin for followers, you’ll transfer your followers following this guide: http://jetpack.me/support/subscription-migration-tool/
