    Hello,

    I’m trying to resolve an issue with one recent EDD transaction. First the plugin is excellent, thank you Pippin and gang! After the simple setup over six months ago the plugin has worked well with the one product being sold using it.

    We had one recent transaction in which the status is marked pending but the “purchaser” actually received the download link (she claimed she couldn’t download it on her iPad – a separate issue). She did forward me the download email so she definitely did get it. The PayPal account has no record of the transaction. The “purchaser” has claimed that she did make the payment although her “proof” was the download email rather than her purchase confirmation email from PayPal. The EDD plugin version was 1.6.4 when that transaction took place on the morning of July 21. I upgraded to the just released 1.7 later that morning after the transaction. Everything worked for me after testing the upgrade.

    My question is, why did EDD send the download link if the status was pending? I can’t reproduce the issue – maybe due to the upgrade but I don’t see a related issue marked fixed in the changelog.

    Also, when a transaction is marked pending what can I do to change the status to complete or do I just have to wait the seven days for a pending status to be marked abandoned as indicated in the changelog? Pending means, to me, that we are waiting for something to happen before it can be completed. I’d rather complete than abandon!

    As an aside, the website was placed in maintenance mode and transferred from one server host to another 7 days prior to the transaction. After the dns had fully propagated, EDD was tested and shown to work so I don’t believe the pending transaction issue was due to the hosting migration.

    If you go to Downloads > Payment History and click “View Order Details” on the payment, does it show any transaction IDs or status changes in the Payment Notes section?

    You can manually update a payment from pending to complete by Editing the payment and changing the status.

    Thank you for your quick response. The Payment Notes section just says “No payment notes”.

    Could you update to EDD v1.7.1? I think I found the problem and fixed it.

    Hi Pippin,

    Thank you for your speedy fix. I’ve updated to 1.7.1. We will see how that behaves. I’ll mark this as resolved.
