Hi, possibly related to this, now when I enter a custom permalink, a leading slash is automatically added, and I get a 404 error for what should be the correct URL.
If I edit the entry in the post_meta table manually (to remove the leading slash) it works fine, but then I can’t update the post in WordPress admin without the leading slash being put on again. Running 2.3.0
Hi @charlesneville
Thank you pointing this out. I will check your defined use-case and will get back to you.
Thanks & Regards,
Sami
@charlesneville Can you please open a new thread to discuss and fix this issue? Your issue is different than the issue reported initially in this thread.
It would be great if you can open a new thread and add the link of that here, in the comment so other users can refer that.
Thanks,
Sami
@charlesneville I have tested the leading slash but not able to generate that issue.
Can you please answer the following questions:
- What is your WordPress version?
- Which editor are you using? Classic Editor, Gutenberg etc.
- In which post type you are getting this error like page, post etc.
- Can you please create a screen recording of one demo page?
- Have you tried to troubleshoot this issue by deactivating all the other plugin and changing the theme? If that works then start activating plugin one-by-onee to find the root cause of the issue.
Thanks & Regards,
Sami
