  • I do affiliate marketing.

The ultimate goal here is to track these affiliate or external links as conversions in Adwords.

So what I believe that I need to do is track outbound links as pageviews instead of events so that I can view them as goals in analytics. Therefore tracking them as a pageview.

Here is my question, I have went into the google analytics plugin and unchecked the box that says track external links as events and also went into the advanced menu and checked the box that says to track external links as pageview.

Now, I have set up goals in the google analytics tracking side and I am wondering what I am supposed to put in the url box for the page to track. Since it’s not technically a real page on my site I am confused on what to input.

Do I put /G1/ or just / currently it is set up as

Second question, Once I have this set up, when I go to input the Adwords Conversion Code where do I put it since there is technichally a dummy page and not a real page to put the code on?
