• Me again… πŸ˜› I’m having difficulty with two more sites not tracking events. Last time I had the issue it was because of a conflict with code inserted (I had inherited the site), but this is a brand new site, and I can’t seem to find any conflicting code. I’m trying to use it to track contact form 7 submissions. I have tried a variety of both ID and classes. The typical catch-all code I’ve been using (firing on wpcf7-submit) doesn’t seem to work either.

    I am also having this problem on additional site: http://www.essenceofthings.com , which I inherited, so I’m not sure what additional problems I may have inherited with it.

    Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

    Hi @the9mm

    I think we have another conflict on our hands.
    The site has both the Monsterinsights plugin and another, which may be causing the conflict.
    Is there a way for you to disable it and run a little test?

    Best Regards,
    Yuval

    Hey Yuvalo,

    Thanks for your help again. I can’t seem to locate any code that points to a conflict, and in the case of carolinesfinefood.com, I built that site and can confirm no other analytics plugins are running aside from MonsterInsights. We do have Yoast SEO running, but that should not affect analytics. Could you share with me the code that you believe is conflicting on one or both sites so I can further investigate?

    @the9mm,

    Sorry, I missed the first link.
    For http://www.essenceofthings.com I do see events going out. Can you please check the Google Analytics dashboard again?

    On http://www.carolinesfood.com the Google Analytics code snippet is rejecting our event. Can you please share your tracker settings?

    @yuvalo,

    I’ve checked the dashboard for http://www.essenceofthings.com again… Still no luck on any events.

    On http://www.carolinesfood.com, I am using standard out-of-the-box setup for Google Analytics through the MonsterInsights plugin.

    Here’s what I have for MonsterInsights:
    Ignore these user roles from tracking: Administrator, Editor
    Enable MonsterInsights events tracking: Yes (Recommended)
    Enable Demographics and Interests Reports for Remarketing and Advertising: Yes
    Anonymize IP addresses? No
    Enable enhanced link attribution? Yes
    Turn on anchor tracking: No
    Turn on allowAnchor: No
    Turn on allowLinker: No
    Turn on tag links in RSS: No
    Track downloads as an: Event (Recommended)
    Set path for internal links to track as outbound links: (Not set)
    Label for those links: (Not Set)

    With your plugin I have set:
    Google Analytics Identifier: (Not Set)
    Don’t add the GA tracking code: Yes (Checked)
    I’m using the Google Tag Manager: No (Unchecked)
    I’m using the Global Site Tags code: No (Unchecked)
    Universal Tracking Code: Yes (Checked)
    Advanced Mode: No (Unchecked)

    If you think it may be an issue within the Analytics setup within Google Analytics itself, I’ll have to ask on it, as I only have read-only access to certain areas.

    @yuvalo,

    Anything on this?

    Thanks.
