• Good afternoon all,

I’m hoping this is something that a more advanced user than I am will be able to help me with. I’m wondering if there is a way to view the IP addresses of those who access my blog/domain. I know that WordPress itself logs the IP address of anyone who comments, and I’m wondering how to take that a step further. I’m wanting to monitor unique visits to my website, as well as the number of times a recurring person moves around my site if that makes sense. I’m not sure if this can be done through WordPress or not, or if it can be done at all.

If it helps, I own my domain through GoDaddy, so if it can be monitored from there someone, will someone familiar with GoDaddy point me in the right direction perhaps? Thanks for any help in advance!

  • Do you have access to logs on your server?

I’m honestly not sure. I’m the admin, so if that is a feature that is available through GoDaddy somehow, then yes I would. I’m just not experienced enough to know.

Some hosting providers offer access to raw logs and/or traffic stats analysis packages. GoDaddy say that they offer web site statistics on all packages. That would be your best bet if you want to monitor general traffic.
