[Resolved] Tracking downloads

  • Hi, does this plug in track downloads from any where in the site? Or is there recommended folders where you should place your downloads in order for them to be tracked by the plug-in? For instance, I want to track a .exe file, where will be the place to put this file in order for this plug in to track the amount of time it gets downloaded? Thanks for your help.

You need to update the download filter, by adding the exe extension:

    zip|ra*|mp*|avi|flv|mpeg|pdf|doc*|ppt*|xls*|jp*|png|gif|tiff|bmp|txt|exe

That’s all! You can place the file wherever you want.

is possible to show most downloaded files in dashboard? Maybe top 5?

    Hi there!

I’ve updated my filters, but I’m wondering where the actual data ends up to view the downloads – I can’t seem to find it. Does it only appear in Google’s Dashboard (under events?)

    Cheers!
