Trackbacks to own posts

I have two questions concerning trackbacks. The first one is on trackbacks within one’s own blog – when linking to an earlier / other post, a trackback appears on that post, even though the thingy is on the same blog. Is there a way to disable this, and/or is such an option in the planning? It may not be desireable behaviour for everyone (at least it isn’t for me, olz). I haven’t been able to find an extension (or whatever you call those) that fixes this problem either (but perhaps I didn’t look close enough).

Second, is there any way, or will there be any way, to discern regular comments from trackbacks? It would be neat if one could customize how trackbacks are displayed in the comments template, at least I haven’t been able to figure out how to discern between trackbacks and regular comments.
