Trackback to self

  • Is it possible to trackback to your own blog, to an older posting?
I was thinking to use this as a way to link related postings. Is this a good idea?
Are there other ways to link related postings?

  • Ping it, and yes it’s perfectly possible 🙂

It is a way to link posts, but there are better (much) better ways using one of the plugins available.

What do you mean by ping? Something else than the trackback URI?

Could you give some suggestions or pointers?
    Thanks,

Thanks a bunch for the tips regarding pinging. I did not know that pings work both ways, I sould read more on this subject.
Any good references for ping and trakback?
Ping seems to cover everything that trackback does, right?

I found CG-Powerpack on David Chait’s site, the plugin page at WordPress does not mention it for some reason.
    I’ll give CG-Related a try…

It is still in testing but may be released soon, perhaps then David will put it up. As for not working in 1.3a, that has been fixed.
