Trackback Sending

Everytime I send a trackback and its done and it goes back to the original post (same post), the trackback appears. Its suppose to disappear after it has been send, correct? im using the mac osx admin theme but Im not sure whats wrong. I tried diffrent trackback urls, and they keep appearing and dont seem to be sending.
