    Hi,

I noticed that the click-to-call event such as <a href="tel:555-5555"> isn’t being tracked by default (although similarly mailto: is).

I inserted class=”gtrack” (got it from another user post on this forum) within the a href tag and that worked! But it comes out on google analytics listed as category “default” and Event action as “default item clicked”.

I need this to be more descriptive in GA (much like the ‘mailto’ event will show “email” for example).

I’ve run out of ideas on what to try. I’m not as experienced with analytics event tracking but will get there.

I appreciate any comments of value, thank you.

Ok, no need to reply here. I have figured it out. It’s as simple as assigning a custom class name to the a href tag and the same reference in the plugin by creating a “custom tracking” entry and giving it a unique name.

    Awesome plugin, thanks!!
