• First off – sorry if this is covered elsewhere. From poking around, I don’t think it is.

Anyhow, I started a hosting account with dreamhost and completed their one-click install of wordpress. Convienent because I don’t know much at all about web design or html.

My question is this. How do I set up my blog to allow others to post on it? Right now I’m the only one who can post and I can’t figure out what to do.

I apologize up front for the “1+1” question, I know this is a rookie thing to ask about but I don’t have a clue what to do.

If you are nice enough to answer (thanks in advance) please don’t assume I know much at all – I obviously don’t – and so I will need any and all details you can walk me through.

As I said, thanks in advance!

• You have a nav bar at the top “Dashbar, etc.” Go to users, and then another nav bar below will appear. Click on “Authors and Users.” Scroll to the bottom, and input the info. It should be self explanatory from there. (After you add the user, make sure they have the role you want them to have.)

thx a lot…a couple more quick ones….1) both the “Archives” and “About” tabs just take me to pages with “The page cannot be found” messages. How can I get those pages up and running? Finally, my tagline under the Blog title has disappeared. Any idea if I did something wrong here?

THX again!

You have to create those pages. Provide a link if you want theme/style help.

gotcha…here is my blog: http://www.acrva.com/blog/

Any and all help, suggestions, guidence etc. would be awesome.

THX

Does that theme you are using have a readme? (I hate theme authors who place predefined links and do NOT provide instructions…)
1. In order to make those links work you have to:
a) create those Pages
b) set your permalinks to the “nice” version
For Permalinks: see your own admin panel and the Codex.

Your themes web site is here: http://www.findcreditcards.org/pressrow/

Note the article “Why Don’t My “Archives” and “About” Links Work?”.

Read through the articles/comments. Get to know your theme…
