  • In what file do i have to look if i wanna change the name of the top-menu item “Site admin” ?

I have made a set of custom buttons in my menu and the word “Site admin” turns out to be a little too long for my taste. So i’d like to change it into something shorter.

  • Can you give your url?

well, i can show you my url, but at the moment the buttons in my mainmenu are static images. so i can see the dynamic text only on my computer (is where i am editing everything right now).

I don’t see “Site admin” anywhere on your site. Where are you talking about.

RedBMedia, you can only see the “Site Admin” link when you’re logged as an privileged user.

I’m also in the look to change this and the Logout/Register links. My site is CostaRicaOnline.org and I can’t get to translate these three links.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I know this was a few months old, but if you look in wp-includes/general-template.php you can search for “Site Admin” and change the text there. Had the same question myself and did a find + grep to dig it up. 🙂

Is this the “right” way to do this?

I am using K2 theme on one site, and it shows “Site Admin” link, but I’m using another theme (Pixel Green) on another site, and it shows the word “meta”! general_template.php is not a thematically edited file. Every edit to fundamental files = more upgrade custom code merges.
