Topics in Private bbPress forum are not visible

    I have a bbPress forum that was marked as Private so to be visible only to logged in users. Further I had added an s2Member restriction so that the forum was restricted to s2Member Level 1.

    The bbPress visibility settings were working ok … meaning that the forum was not appearing in the forum list unless logged in.

    However, if the user did not have a Keymaster role then the individual topics were not displayed.

    So there are only two ways to see the topics in this forum:
    1) leave the forum visibility as Private and give everyone Keymaster role in addition to their s2member_level1 role; or
    2) make the forum visibility Public and leave everyone at s2Member level 1 and bbPress Participant.

    The second option is the less of two evils in this case, but ideally we want to keep the forum Private.

    Any suggestions?
