Regarding your question, currently the theme supports only two levels in the menu. I will add more menu levels support in the next version of the theme.
It is not possible to change by just changing css.

I downloaded your theme but cannot get the top navigation to show.. Is there some configuration that needs to be modified?

Never mind.. I am new to wordpress and was able to figure it out.. Had to have at least one page/post for each menu item to show up.
To navigation to show you have to create a menu from customizer and assign that menu to top navigation. And you are right you need to add pages/psot or url to menu as menu items to show up.

Sorry to break into this old thread, but it’s about the same issue I am having for one of the websites I made.
As you already answered, your awesome theme only supports two levels in the menu, so you can’t go on nesting endlessly. And you also say you will be adding more levels in the next version.
I don’t want to push you, ofcourse, but could you please give me a hint as to when this next update i.e. extra menu levels will be made available? I really hope soon, as I intend to use your template for a few more websites I am going to create.

benarr1, you can’t add the 3rd level yet, the theme doesn’t support it.
