If I understand correctly, your menu is not too large and it’s switching to a mobile version with the dropdown on the ipad, but you would like to keep the standard menu for the ipad?
For this theme, the mobile styles will detect the device and browser window and applies the appropriate styles. It’s a little tricky to design a balance for various devices, menu sizes, logo sizes (because the menu is to the right of it), among other things. For ipads, some users may have a lot of menu items which is why it changes to a mobile version while others may have only a few menu items…it would take some very creative scripting to count menu items instead of devices and window size…
However, all this I am sure doesn’t help you much, but your only solution is to make modifications to the theme’s css files in relation to the @media styling for the various resolutions. The file where you would be changing will be the bootstrap.css file for @media (max-width: 979px)
In doing so, you may have to make some other css changes as well in this same file as well the menu.css too.
When making any changes, I recommend using the Child Theme method which the setup tutorials on my site for this theme describes. I also offer customization services should you decide you need this done but need me to do it.
