I’ve tried to add a child-level menu item to my top level items, but when I do that, the top level becomes unclickable, even though it’s a separate page. This is a static site with only one post but has several informational pages instead.

Is there a way to fix this? Right now I don’t have any child-level (second-level) menu items due to this problem, but the site is http://jhsd.org. The single line of menu items is getting too long!

    Thanks!

  • That isn’t a problem. It is designed that way. Parent menu items should not be clickable. They should just be parent grouping for what drops down below. If it is clickable, then the whole menu would break down on touch-enabled devices.

Ah, I see – the old “it’s not a bug, it’s a feature” issue (teasing!)

OK, well, I did a workaround on the site, and am just waiting to see if the course owner complains. So far so good. And thanks for getting back to me!
