Support » Theme: Sydney » Top header problems since your recent update

  • Our website header and menu were working great across all browsers and devices until your recent update.

    We are now experiencing missing headers, background colors and menu listings on Apple devices, phone and iPad using Safari browser.

    We had to adjust the Header layout (stacked) to be able to visually see the menu items on Safari but this hasn’t resolved all of the problems.

    We are using
    WordPress 5.8.1
    Sydney theme = Version: 1.83

    I see the website good in FireFox 92.0.1

    Thanks!

  • Also I found out that it “crashed” all used fonts and leaves you with a standard-font and it changes the color of the title font to the deep black #00102e ….

    Hope that there are possibilities to use the old google font “railway” and to turn all the title colors back to #443f3f

    Hi @thalakus,

    I am sorry for belated response.

    Our development team has been working on the mentioned header layout issues. The fixes for them will be available as you update the theme in the future.

    Hope that there are possibilities to use the old google font “railway” and to turn all the title colors back to #443f3f

    The latest version of the theme uses default system font and you still be able to choose your Google font from Customize > Typography.

    We also updated the colors system and it may affect some part of your content. You can manage it with this CSS code:

    h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
      color: #cccccc;
    }

    Add it to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS from dashboard.

    thanks for the reply!

    does the theme or the WordPress core set the default font? Because it would be nice to set it to raleway-locally so I can avoid the google servers by setting default (which will be a local raleway”

    does the theme or the WordPress core set the default font?

    The Sydney theme (v. 1.83) uses default font enabled on device’s system.

    You can use this plugin to enable local font.
