Support » Theme: Go » top header menu not working on mobile

  • Resolved nicoray

    Hello, noticed that the top header menu on my GO theme does not resolve on mobiles. it works fine on tablets and computers but if you press on the top menu . . . you get a blank page with nothing at all. The footer menu works at the bottom of the page. After encountering this issue I downloaded and activated a third party Menu program (max mega menu) to see if that would correct the issue. It didn’t so I deactivated that.

    Any thoughts GO guys? Thanks for your time.

  • Hi @nicoray

    It looks like your menu links color is set to white and the mobile navigation background is also white, so it appears the links are not showing. I’d recommend trying to switch out the menu background color inside of the customizer.

    If you want to do so via the additional CSS section of the customizer you should be able to add the following little CSS snippet:

    .menu-is-open .header__navigation a,
    #nav-toggle {
       color: #333333;

    Let us know if that helps!

    Yup, that helped. Thank you for that @eherman24 . I do notice though that about half of the pages on the mobile resolve correctly to the menu and about half bring up the menu “behind” the pages content, so that only the first couple buttons are active but once the pages text covers the other buttons, they no longer work. Any thoughts on that one. Thank you for your time.

    ps appears that if you hold your phone on its side (landscape!) the menus all work correctly but if you hold it upright then the menus are hit and miss as far as just bringing up the menu correctly vs a mishmash of the page and the menu. testing on an iPhone 11 across safari and chrome browsers. thanks

    It sounds like this may be related to the bug report that we had a week or two ago. We’ve issued a PR that should actually resolve this, but we haven’t released a new version of the Go theme just yet. In the next release of the Go theme the fix should be in place and you should no longer be seeing the issue you describe.

    Just to provide an update, we’re planning on pushing out a new version of the Go theme tomorrow.

    Hi again @eherman24. I applied the update but the mobile menu still overlaps making the site tough to view on those pages, unfortunately. I am a little confused on the instructions above to manually fix the z-index. thanks

    Hi All,

    Hoping someone can figure this out. My wife has a website

    We are using the Boss Pro theme. When you go to the site using a mobile device, the hamburger menu is not working.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Alex. Sorry, but we only provide support for the Go theme. I recommend contacting the author of the Boss pro theme for help.

    Hi there,

    My mobile menu has a clear background, and so you can’t really read the words on the dropdown menu. How can I make the background of the dropdown mobile menu white so the options to click on are visible?
