Have a home link that client would like to have highlighted only when at the #top of the home page (as other menu-highlight sections follow down the page).

With default settings, created custom link for ‘home’ and added /#top to it. Receives __mPS2id and works fine scroll-wise, however never receives _mPS2id-h nor a -highlighted. If I apply any other available # designation it works fine.

Don’t see #top in exclusions – is there any way to make that a trigger or some other way to accomplish this? Thanks much

I do note in FAQ ‘If your link’s URL is #top and no such target id exist in your page, the plugin will scroll the page automatically to the very top (determined by the position of the body tag in the HTML’ – So I suspect that’s why it appears to work scroll-wise – but if actual top id doesn’t exist on page it won’t trigger highlight.

I was thinking #top might be handled in some special way since it is a commonly used designation – but if not then I presume I need to find another id or manually hook a ‘top’ id in there somewhere.

Yes, if the top id doesn’t exist, highlight won’t work. You could add the top id on a header element in your page and it’ll work.

Thanks. Hooked it with Extender Pro and yep it works, thank you.

Since it’s a null height, the highlight is there upon arriving at the page, but the moment you scroll down it immediately turns off of course… but good enough for now until I can take a closer look.

Appreciate the great plugin and fast response.
