Several of our WordPress clients are complaining about the latest (5.5.2) update messing up the toolbar when viewing pages of their sites. I confirmed that the toolbar’s right side wraps when the browser window is smaller than 1475px. I am hoping this will be resolved in the next update, but since we only update our hosted clients when there is a new MAJOR release, I want to bring this up here as a hope that it will be in fact resolved moving forward. Although this is only a nuisance for the editors, it has become a giant headache dealing with the bombardment of emails and tickets associated with the 5.5 update. Is there any way to confirm that this has been or will be addressed in the future? Perhaps a message from WordPress that this is in the works will calm the storm. Please advise. Thank you, Jason

It doesn’t, unless you have too much stuff in the toolbar. This is captured at 789px. See https://i.imgur.com/sjCS3VF.png

@sterndata that’s helpful, thank you. But how do we minimize the number of plugins displaying on the toolbar?
    Thanks,
    Jason

See if the plugins have an option for that. The toolbar has become overused. IMHO, it should be only important, global stuff.

I checked a few of the plugins already and didn’t see any settings for displaying on the toolbar. So what we’re saying is if there’s the option to remove a plugin from the toolbar, we should use that and only keep important and useful things on the toolbar. I get that, very practical. I wish it was more convenient to hide them than hoping the plugin’s author coded that feature. Maybe that’s something you could add to some backlog?
Thanks for your help and quick responses. You’ve been helpful! Thanks, Jason

It’s up to the plugin authors, not the volunteers answering questions here.

OK, I was thinking this forum was for ‘fixing WP’ so I figured this would be the place to request, if possible, for WordPress to add this type of feature in a future release. Thanks again for your help. Jason
