    Hello,

Excellent plugin but I am having an issue where the buttons or toolbar does not show. Am I missing a switch somewhere to activate it.

I installed the plugin as described and I loaded the default settings and I have no toolbar showing.

I also made sure that the tick box “Disable the visual editor when writing” was checked off.

The only thing I could think of is that one of the security plugins is blocking it. I have Word Fence and iThemes installed.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Regards.

    Hi there,
This plugin no longer works with current versions of WordPress.

Please switch to using the updated WP Edit plugin instead:
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-edit/

Are there any plans to reactivate Ultimate TinyMCE at a later point in time or is the WP Edit plugin the replacement?

I loved the Ultimate TinyMCE it was a great plugin, so thanks for the work you put into it Josh.

    Blessings.

I think I just answer my questions by reading your article here: http://learn.wpeditpro.com/wordpress-tinymce-editor/

So WP Edit us replacing Ultimate TinyMCE.
Sorry I should have read the description of WP Edit first before I ask stupid questions … LOL

Thanks again Josh you did a great job 🙂

I know, and thank you for your kind words.

That is exactly what I am doing with WP Edit. Remember, Ultimate Tinymce was the culmination of two years work. Ultimate Tinymce was hardly anything on it’s initial release. Only after 40 some-odd updates did it get the reputation.

It will take time with WP Edit. It’s only been out for a little over a week. I have many plans.. but I can’t implement them overnight.

Bear with me… we’ll get back to where we were before 😉

    No worries, mate 🙂
It’s been difficult on everyone involved. I know 🙂

There are some features I really do miss… In TinyMCE there was that button which enclosed a selected text with HTML <p></p> tags. Is this going to be coming back in WP Edit?
