hi Phil,
Are there any ideas yet as to why our Tool Tips stopped working after the 2.1.5 update?

I’m wondering if we should downgrade to the prior version.
thanks in advance…
Same also in our community radio website http://www.aurovilleradio.org.
No events today 🙁
Hey man, me too. Tooltips were looking beautiful in the last version. But stopped working with latest update. Supposed to launch in 3 days!
Thanks!

I made some updates that should help most of you. Grab version 2.1.6 (or higher) and reply back if you could to let us know if it helped.
Some folks, however, are running an old version of jQuery. The tooltip library (qTip2) requires jQuery 1.6 or higher, which shouldn’t be a problem if you’re site is referencing the version included with WordPress.

Thank you Phil!
After installing the 2.1.6 update – the Tool Tips are now back. But the positioning and layout of them is very different than they were previously.
The tips are now very tall and thin and some are displaying partially off screen.
See this page to see what I mean: http://www.christopherhobbs.com/
many many thanks for your help…
Phil, you rock dude. Well done. Thanks!
But yes, I have to say the css/styling of the previous tool tips were much better. The typography, layout and simplicity were absolute perfection honestly. Would be great to have that design again.
But nonetheless, super quick turnaround. Thanks a lot man!

UGH, Okay so they are working now but UGH.. the old style was much more friendly to use. I can’t even get my mouse over the dialog box fast enough to click More Details.. not to mention the tool tip comes up and a weird place on the screen.

Thanks to the help from another user (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/qtip2-adjustments), I just pushed some more changes to the tooltip effects that I think will help (v2.1.6.1). Let me know if that helps.
For styling, yes the new qTip2 tooltip library changed things, but I tried to leave it pretty “vanilla” in that it takes on a lot of the theme’s styles (and some of the original GCal Events styles), yet allowing you to override parts if needed. In this update I simply removed the unnecessary black border inside the bubble, but that’s it in terms of CSS.
If you inspect the CSS you should be override fonts and styles in your WP setup as needed.
