too much white space

Two sites with same problem; misplacedcomma.com and margueritefloyd.com

I’d like to reduce the white space from the top of the page to the menu bar or top of image, then reduce some of the white space between menu bar/image and line of type.

I also can’t figure out how to reduce the space between “Misplaced Comma” and “quality editing where it counts.” Yes, I have TinyMCE Advanced installed, but that doesn’t help.

I’m a newbie at this. I made children of both sites (I think). For the margueritefloyd.com site I got so frustrated I just used blank pages.

I do have Simple CSS plugin installed, if that helps.
