Too much notices\warnings

    Hi gelds!

    I am new to wordpress and I am afraid of hacking the code without the help of an expert (I use 3.1 WP blog). Although I haven’t edited any code yet, I am getting many notices\warnings.

    Notice: register_widget_control is deprecated since version 2.8! Use wp_register_widget_control() instead. in /home/crazy/public_html/euangelos/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3303

    Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home/crazy/public_html/euangelos/wp-content/themes/mainstream/functions/admin-functions.php on line 169

    Any help appreciated.
