I’ve created a form with forminator. Forms have too many fields and it takes too much time to load between pages. Is there any trick to make it quick to load?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @anixrud

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

First thing to start with would be to check form’s performance whith “Load form using Ajax” option enabled and disabled to see which one performs better. Then it might also be good to split the form into (more) pages.

Is the form very complex – how many (about) fields does it have and is there a lot of calculations and/or visibility rules applied?

If yes then it might be necessary to review those calculations and conditions to see if they could possibly be simplified a bit but that’s only a suggestion.

To be able to say more about form’s performance, I’d need to test this particular form. Each form can be exported from Forminator so could you export it and share with us for testing?

To export form go to forms’ list in the plugin and click on a little “gear” icon for that form. An export code can then be put into a file to be uploaded to your Google Drive, Dropbox or similar account – please share a link to it with us here so we could test the form.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Form not complex too much but there are too many options and calculations.

    Here is the link:

I couldn’t find a way to hold the chosen value like a variable in programming, so I calculated all the fields. It works as it intended to be. but if there are more options it gets slow.

If you suggest a different way of doing that it’d be appreciated too.

    Thanks again.

    Hi @anixrud,

Thanks for sharing the form export, I tested the form on my system and I do see 2-3 seconds of load time to the next page in the form.

I could notice there are a lot of fields and calculations in your form as you have mentioned and I’m afraid this would be the expected behaviour in such use cases.

I did bring this int our team’s attention to see if there is any workaround that could be looked upon but I’m afraid there isn’t much at the moment that could be suggested without changing the workflow of the form which would require a lot of custom coding.

However, our team has decided to consider this as a feature request and will be looking to implement a better workflow in future releases on how the form would be loaded.

Thanks for bringing this into our attention.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin
