# Too Much CPU Usage – Comments?

 * my host contacted me recently, informing me my CPU usage was beyond what was 
   allowed.
 * for various reasons, I believe much of this has to do with my blog’s comments.
   for instance, one of my posts has 70+ comments and has to use up SIGNIFICANT 
   CPU whenever someone merely opens the page, as it then retrieves every comment.
 * is there any way I could reduce the CPU usage of viewing comments? I have WP-
   Cache and Super Cache enabled, but it isn’t doing enough.

 * Try decativating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one
   individually until you find the cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Default theme (WordPress
   2.9) or the Twenty Ten theme (WordPress 3.0) to rule-out a theme-specific issue.
