• Firt I had to revert from version 5.1 to 5.0 for errors then related posts images started having broken links… and finally I discovered that those images were uploaded on worpdress servers by photon, which has no deleting policy and goes spidering on the site continously causing CPU, Banwidth and RAM consumptions beyond reasonable (not to speak about html 403 errors fired with no reasons since at a deep check, everything was in place).
More than this, lot of features need coding to set up common options (like related posts grid number of posts, or CSS styling of text).
I know perfectly that this plugin is really complex and need a lot of code and work to be kept up and running so all my respect to developers but… I just deactivated it, solving all problems at once.

  • Hi @franzblog – Sorry to hear about this! Our developers are always trying to improve on Jetpack and you’re right it is a beast of a plugin to maintain – We would be happy to work with you through any of those issues if you decide to use Jetpack again in the future.

In the meantime I’ll be sure to pass on your feedback to our product team
