I'm working on building a site that will have about 50 pages to start, each of which will have approximately 5 widgets per page. New pages will be added on a weekly or monthly basis in the future.
As you can imagine, this has already started to slow down my site administration area, and I only have a half dozen of the pages created. I'm currently using the "Custom Widgets" plug-in to add widgets to the pages I desire.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to manage all of this information, while minimizing the drag on the administration area.
Can anyone make any recommendations? Should I split the site into multiple installs that share the same database so the "Widgets" section won't be as filled up? (It would still be pretty large though)
