Too many SQL queries are slowing down my website

Looks huge indeed… A dos attack?
Have you all your configuration up-to-date meaning wp 4.9.6, MySQL 5.6 and all your plugin?
Have you a security plugin installed like Wordfence which could help you to determine the origin of such number of queries?

How many page accesses did your site receive in that same 24h period of time?

Starting to look like a bad plugin rather than a DoS attack.

The only way to begin to debug this issue is to look at each plugin’s queries live.

One way to do this is via the Query Monitor plugin (if you haven’t already tried this).

Once installed you will see a live query report at the top of your admin page. If you click on this you can select queries by component, and that should tell you which plugins are making the most queries at any one time.

You can sort the list at the SELECT column to bring the most queries component to the top.

Yep, when you do the math on 6760 page views x 80 or so queries, you are up in the half million queries a day mark.

ps Have you tried “W3 Total Cache” plugin?
